Denver Fly Fishing Show 2013 Day 1
The show opened Friday at 10 am with a long line waiting to get in. Soon the building was awash in people—an outstanding crowd for a Friday. My first program was a casting demo at 11:15, and the audience was large and ready to have a great time. And we did. They all participated with glee, had fun, and learned a bit about casting and mending.
In the afternoon, I gave a PowerPoint presentation on “Presentation,” spent time in the author’s booth signing books and chatting with people about a wide variety of fly fishing topics, and finished the day with a fly tying demo. It was a very solid start to the show.
Get out tomorrow if you can, it promises to be an equally fine show on Saturday
The line hustled in the door at the 10 am opening.
The crowd was heavy right from the start.
The crowd participated in the casting exercises with glee.
It’s this kind of fun that keeps one learning and enjoying our sport.
Learning the proper movements of arm casting is no harder than swinging your arm and posing for a picture while doing so.
